Villa Miralago was built in 1902 as a summer residence for well-to-do families in the grand style typical of the latter years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In the 1910s, it became part of Hotel Excelsior, one of the most fashionable hotels in Velden during the 1920s and 1930s. In the 1980s the rooms were converted into apartments. The villa boasts fabulous panoramic views over the lake with stunning sunsets — a perfect setting for a relaxing lakeside holiday.

Our house belongs to the few remaining examples of fin-de-siècle architecture on the southern banks of lake Woerthersee. I was tastefully adapted to today's requirements while conserving the spirit and the atmosphere of the original building.
